Buying Skytrak in U.S.

Hi all, I had waited for many months the 2016 Pga Show to see the ES16 features and must admit that, like many of us, I was really disappointed. Too much expensive product with no impressive or unveiled technology/software/informations can't catch me at the moment. At the mean time, many of the guys here have revalued the Skytrak, which seemed an useless junk just a couple of weeks ago (check old posts). Things and prospectives change very quickly. However, I have decided to buy one. So, my question is: as I live in Europe but travel to U.S. can I buy it in that Country and use in my region? I mean, I know there will be no warranty in Europe with an american product, but the point is, will then be possible to download software/firmware from my home or will I incurr in any sort of limitation? There was a limitation with regards to get hold of the Ipad app in Europe but not anymore. You had to curcuimvent it by getting hold of an account in the us app store.

I think your warranty will not be transferable to Europe.

Hi mr. Hogan, I know I will not be able to use the warranty. The point is another: will I be able to use the american Skytrak here in Europe (I mean downloading software, firmwares, updates, buying the annual packages from their site, and etc.)?
It I use it with my pc and not with the app (Ipad, etc.) will also be possible to download these softwares from here?

Yes to all of the above. I got my ST in June in Washington and took it back to Germany. The only issue I had in the beginning was that the APP wasn't in the European app store. So I needed a friend with a us account to lock in on my ipad and download the app. But since the app is in the European store now, no problem anymore !

The only difference in device is the laser. It is stronger on the U.S. Model and that breaks EU laws. If you get one pick me on up, haha
