  • Skytrak Protective Case

Now the Skytrak protective case has been out for a while on their website for $129, how many people actually bought it? Happy with it?

Someone else posted that it may actually affect the ball distance? Ball was going further with Skytrak outside of the case than in the case? Anyone else with similar experience?

Other issues? I'm thinking of getting one, and don't mind paying $129, but want to make sure that it doesn't make Skytrak less accurate.

Hi Guys, I got my skytrack protective metal case today and it says on the documentation that there is a template for the levelling bubble. I don't seem to have that. Any advice, can I just put the bubble on the top of the unit centered?

When I purchased mine it didn't have a template either. It really bugged me at first but I eventually just centered it up and it seems to work fine.

        Hi all,

First time poster. I have the metal case. I feel the legs mess up my readings as the hitting surface it is set on is level with the bottom of the metal case legs. (I installed turf and cut out portions for "inserts" that are level with the ground) Should I remove the legs all together? Do you also suggest removing the cover on the sensors? Looking forward to getting this "dialed in". Could some of the veterans on here point me to other tips / posts that are must reads? I go through periods where the skytrak doesn't pick up the shot. Seems I have a lot to learn! Greatly appreciate any advice.

Just turn them over and put them in from the opposite side. They will still be ok for leveling but not raise the Skytrak as much. First thing I would do is try that and post about any persistent no reads. Yes, remove the plastic cover.

As for other tips. Place drivers 2 inches further from the screen/target than the laser dot. Also place the logo facing the skytrak. Finally, connect in usb mode.

I Agree with almost everything Boerdoc says, except, we have found far better connection using Direct Wifi mode. just buy a cheap wifi dongle for your PC if required, we get far less non-reads with this connection method

I concur with LLama about the direct wifi. Though I use usb and have no issues. To explain that connection further, You buy a usb wifi adapter and use that for your connection to the Skytrak wifi signal. You can then use your computer's Wifi to connection to the internet with TGC to play a round.

i have been using my skytrak armour for a while, out of the blue one day it simply stopped cooperating with my skytrak. take it out of the case, works perfectly. use the original plastic skytrak case, works perfectly... i am now going to try slightly enlarge the holes to see what happens... has anyone else come across this?
