    Skytrak Sim Setup Queries

    Hi all,

I'm considering building a Sim room in my garage with a Skytrak system and was wondering if I could ask a few questions to help me with room size etc.

    1. What is the recommended distance from the ball to the screen for ST?
    2. What distance do I need between the screen and the wall behind?
    3. If the ball position has to be offset from the centre line of the screen (because of room size) what is the max offset without impacting on performance /enjoyment?
    4. If using a Short throw projector is it better to mount it on the floor or on the ceiling?

    Thanks

1-No recommended distance. You just need to be able to swing and not hit your screen, so as short or as long as you want.
2-Most say a minimum of 1'. Will depend on your ball speed and tightness of your net/screen.
3-This is up to you, but at this time there is no offset feature in the software. Due to my current setup, i'm offset quite a bit.
4-Up to you, but most would mount above. You can mount on floor since you it sounds like you are offset, but you want to make sure to protect the projector and that you wont putt into it as well.
