  • SkyTrak and TGC: Unrealistic Spin Problems, Can't Hold Greens

I have a SkyTrak and am playing TGC. It is impossible to stop a ball on the green. I'm a 5 handicap in real life and have played 100+ courses in my life, from soft long greens to hard, 12+ stimp. Nothing in TGC with SkyTrak is close to realistic.

I hit a 100 yard 3/4 wedge with 8,000+ RPM spin, landing it on the front of the green on any course, and the ball rolls forward 30 yards off the back, every time.

This ball in real life will stop immediately, or hop a couple times and come backwards.

I see others reporting distance and spin issues, but don't see anyone from SkyTrak or Protee acknowledging this issue.

Do I need to preselect what club I'm hitting before I actually hit or something? I guess I can try testing that tonight when the kids are aslee.

Shot shape and distances are pretty much perfect, but the ball simply will not hold a green, making the game impossible to play without adding an extra stroke to almost every hole.

Chipping and putting is fine, if not better than I expected.

ST are in the process of correcting this ASAP. In the meantime post some screenshots.

What are they fixing? It is showing the spin value, LA BS and HLA. Is it really not processing the numbers that it's showing?

That's really strange, we haven't had any problems getting the ball to stop on the greens, even some that I thought might be coming in a little too hot.

Well, I played again, and it completely resolved itself so, no issues here as far as that goes. But this time, putting would simply not work, so I'm off to make another thread about that :-/
