  • New IOS app & practice greens

Okay, I really like the new features in the latest IOS app with the greens on the range, makes it much more enjoyable. One thing though, when I am out on my favorite range and hitting to some of the greens, I always pick one of the closest balls to the flag and hit until I get one closer, especially with my wedges.

There is already distances for the closest to the pin challenges, Seth and Skytrak, can you add the distances to the pin for the greens in the practice range on the next update? Maybe this is just me being picky, everyone else can chime in if they think the same.

I also really like the practice greens in V 2.2. Great addition!

This note isn't on the exact same topic but is another future app request. Previous to this release I've only hit in 1st person view because I like to see my ball flight as though it's real life. Now with these greens it's nice to see where the ball lands which you don't get on 1st person view. So I started to use dynamic and follow ball modes. One future app request - it would be awesome to see more of the ball flight from 1st person before the camera mode shifts ahead. So for example on a 150 yard shot in follow ball mode you perhaps see 50 yards from 1st person and then the camera moves ahead to follow the ball through the air and watch it land. The camera shifts so quickly that you don't get a good sense of what your shot trajectory for that shot was. Using that 150 yard shot as a reference I personally think it would be great to see 100+ yards of flight from the 1st person view and then zoom up to follow the ball. Then on a 250 yard shot maybe see upwards of 200 yards of flight from the 1st person view before shifting the camera angle. To me seeing the ball's trajectory from 1st person is very important and I'd like to see as much of that as possible before moving ahead to see the landing etc. Just a thought!

Absolutely agree with this. I was thinking the same thing but couldn't come up with a simple way to explain it. Thanks.

I agree. Plus, the disperse diagram would be great. Thanks for bringing this up, Spudly.

Dispersion circles per club hit are a must for me to see what you do with each club depending on strike. Also if you want to compare clubs for a fitting it is essential too. I would imagine that this is fairly simple to implement and as I said, would make this vital to make it a complete launch monitor. if I hit 50 7 irons I want to be able to see the scatter left, right long and short. Maybe I'd take out the really extreme hooks or slices that are impossible to predict. I remember seeing this on a GC2 at a fitting and it made it so simplest to compare clubs and help select the best one for my swing.

Really enjoying the practice greens so far! It's really the first time since i've had my skytrak that I have practiced a lot of short yardages. It's nice to have a defined target to shoot at rather than an entire range.
