I only posted because you said it was a TGC issue but in fact, it's a skytrak issue. I was stating that I don't have that issue. You said it was a TGC issue. It's not.

Makes sense. Understood. I didn't realize that the TGC - GC2 interface would have any different tweaks than what we have via skytrak. SkyTrak_Seth, hopefully this can be looked at.

I still think it is important to separate out what is a TGC or PG issue in the basic sim software, what is an issue in the ST interface for TGC or PG, and what is a ST hardware issue that can't be overcome by software or firmware adjustments.

Here's an example: https://vimeo.com/156763806
Skip to 2:12 - 24 foot putt almost dead flat (up 1 inch)
Ball speed hit at 8.00 mph. On a green of stimp 8 hit at 8mph ball should travel about 30 feet on level surface. This one went about 21. The skytrak interface should be made to match at least stimp 8 in my opinion to feel like more real golf. I doubt any of us play on stimp 6 greens very often.

I could swear that the greens East Lake (this weeks tour stop) are faster than other recent courses I have played in TGC.
Is there 100% confirmation that with TGC/Skytrak, all greens roll the exact same speed? If anyone has a link to this info posted by Protee or HB Studios please share.
If this is the case, its a shame, and would be a big benefit that PG has over TGC (I think I still would prefer TGC..but not by a huge margin)

Just know that with the GC2 and GSX interface that you can boost your putting speed. So if you set it at 20 or whatever, you may see putts travel further. If it is at 0 then it felt slow.
If guys compare their results it may be good to say what you set your putting at to help others.
If skytrak can't do this then that is the reason for the difference.

If putting is 6 feet on Skytrak someone should open a ticket with Protee. I'm sure it's an easy fix. Every other TGC platform allows for adjustment. My Courses:

Sounds like a good step forward for ST. I adjusted my speed to putting 10 feet in the basement = 10 on a flat green. 8.4 mph= 30 feet.

...getting back to the listed topic. I like most would prefer an option to own pg...IF ..it could be transferred. Especially between devices. My reasoning is that although I own a skytrak I still have not ruled out getting a gc2 eventually if I end up changing my room into a full blown sim with projector etc. at that point i would be putting enough money into it to justify having the best ball reader available. That would go out the window though if skytrak can prove to work well with a sim..that is without misses consistently on all shots (chips). I just wonder how much better the skygolf people can get with shot capture at this point because it is definitely wonderful on full shots.
But I bet most of us are golf equipment hoes so buying a different launch monitor is on the table for most if we have enough money and spousal support
