  • SkyTrak Windows app "Not Connected" and doesn't even try to connect

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and just purchased a new Skytrak.

I'm in the process of setting up my laptop to use with it and I'm running in to my first problem. When I try to connect to the skytrak, the Windows app just says "Not Connected". It does this whether I use the USB or Wifi direct connect, or even the Wifi Network Mode.

I'm able to change the mode because when I plug in the Skytrak to my desktop machine in my office the software recognizes it right away and everything works just fine. I also notice that on my desktop machine when the skytrak is not plugged in, it says "Looking for connection...". This message does NOT appear on my laptop, it just immediately says "Not connected" and never looks for a connection.

So, does anyone know what may be causing this?

Both the Laptop and Desktop machines are running Windows 10.

    Thanks!

That's really strange. On your laptop, does the 'Powered by Rapsodo' splash screen come up when you launch the software? If not, then you need to install this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/down...s.aspx?id=5555
