Skytrak - TGC short bunker shot spin issues

Interesting, if you get a chance, take a peak when you get anywhere inside 20 yards and check the spin real quick after you hit your shot. Im curious about your situation with the lofted shots, ive tried flop shots and it always does the 1000 spin thing inside 20 yards no matter how high I hit it, outside 20 yards it works perfectly.

Will do. I feel like I've hit plenty of 10-15 yard shots that hit and checked right away. I'll double check though next time I play. I had a 98 rpm backspin tonight at Sawgrass on a pitch shot with a LW that definitely caught my attention. Haha. Took off when it hit like it was on concrete. First true misread I've had in a very long time.

Also keep an eye for putting mode. I know Ironstrokes has seen it while in normal mode but I haven't. It is always in putting mode when I get the 1000 rpm spin. It doesn't matter how high I launch it. If I'm in putting mode I'm get 1000 rpm backspin. Every. Damn. Time. Lol

Btw just because you don't have a putter selected doesn't mean the skytrak is in normal mode. You can minimize TGC and check out the skytrak TGC interface to see which mode you are in. I have no idea why putting mode gets activated when I don't have a putter selected.

If you look in my first video on the original post I made on the short spin issue it shows me switching back and forth in the beginning and I ultimately leave it on normal mode before I chip.

In general (not always, as ill mention below) you can switch between putting and normal modes by just hitting a club. If you hit putter, it will switch to putting mode and if you hit LW or whatever club it will usually automatically switch to normal mode is how I do it and the notification comes up on the screen (never really looked at what the interface says since it always pops up as an alert on the screen when I switch it). You can see this switch easiest when you do it from the tee of fairway.

Having said all that though, once you get near the green it works differently and it does put you in putting mode most of the time and when that happens no matter what I do or what club I hit I cannot switch it out of putting mode. But once in a while it does leave you in normal mode though (not sure why) and it will let me switch between normal and putting mode from there (as seen in my video). Then if I switch to putting mode from that, that is when Ill get normal ball flight but 0 spin and the ball flies across the green like a putt.

Ive seen 2 or 3 of those random like one hundred spin pitch shot before too, they give you one of those freeze and "what the heck just happen there" moments haha. Not sure where they come from, that a whole other can of worms that I just write up to misreads

Well, i know i wasn't drinking that night, but i swear all three short sided bunker shots registered 1999 for spin and 0 for others.

I only had a couple minutes yesterday and hopped on the first hole at Arizona diamonds, put it in the bunker and tried three shots and all registered 900 for spin. I didn't check which mode it was in though. When i get more time, i will look at this some more.
