So just wondering if people are able to get their SkyTraks to pick up short soft chips (or flops shots) to a tight pin from like around 8 yards or less on TGC, PG or WGT that travels around 5 yards? Thanks for the feedbacks in advance.

yes but seems inconsistent. Usually I have to hit it too hard. I have found that sometimes putting the ball about 1 ball in front of the dot helps. No science to this but that is my experience

I've tried putting ball in front, behind, closer to ST and away from ST and all combos of above to no avail. Would often chip 10+ times before a chip can get registered - and usually chips that get register will run out at least 12+ yards (so past the pin), and of course often when get frustrated would just skull it way past pin.
Seth mentioned putting mode will pick up these types of shots better - but don't know how to turn on putting mode? I think they've implemented a feature in TGC to be able to go into putting modes - anyone using TGC has tried this and is able to have unit (and software) pick up 15 feet or shorter chips? Thanks.

Sometimes short chips are not picked up for me (Skytrak / TGC). But 9 out of 10 work fine. Its the 1 that doesnt work, and take 10+ attempts before it reads, that is annoying. Had this happen last night with my gap wedge (50 degree). Had a 6 yard chip that would not register after 10-20 attempts. I ended up switching to my lob wedge to chip, so I could hit the ball harder. Picked that up first time.
