  • Skytrak 2?

    Hi guys,

Apologies, I'm sure this has been asked before. The only thing stopping me purchasing is the delay between hitting and seeing the ball flight. This isn't an issue if using at an outdoor range but i'm looking to setup an indoor practice facility for the winter and for me is a deal breaker.

Even the ES16 has a long (imo) delay before displaying the data, the only ball measuring unit system i've seen with near instant displaying of the shot is the GC2.

Why is there such a delay?

Will there be a Skytrak 2 coming out that solves this (for me) issue?

Skytrak looks very accurate and well priced but i'd be very interested in a Skytrak that was faster to display the shot.

Anyone able to offer any words? SkyTrak_Seth

    Thanks

I'm also curious, is the delay topically the same when using a course sim vs just the driving range program?

    Thanks!

Hmm, I'm only getting around 3 seconds or just a touch under this morning. That said, this PC is nothing special. Still just enough time to finish the swing and look at the monitor, but I'm sure someone else here can make a video with shorter delay.

      EDIT - sorry wrong link

So consistent with the 3-4 second delay people get in TGC. For me delay on the range isn't a big deal compared to delays when doing simulation.

My buddy had spent a lot of money trying to get delays under 3 seconds in TGC without success. He's learned to rationalize it but it clearly bugs him. If anyone can produce a video showing 1.5 second delays AND the key hardware specs to do it that would be greatly appreciated! Right now we're thinking it's unobtainium.

For ME that is fine as a practice tool but i'd would like something quicker for simulation. I'm not saying i'm correct and you guys are wrong just me preference.
sorry, no video of this setup. I was testing it in my lounge room. My son is now using the computer for 3D animation and drawing systems. So I am just using an i7 laptop with dedicated graphics card to run my skytrak in my indoor training centre
