Par2pro did this and made a video. GC2 and Skytrak on same side of ball, so no interference.

    Check that out.

Looks like the gc2 was having difficulty reading spin. Showing 1000 rpms and under on driver shots? 1499 was highest and 706 lowest? Not sure that is even possible.

There's a good chance that they're interfering with each other since they're facing each other and flashing at each other (I think the Skytrak flashes?). I'll give some wedges a go.

Seems to me the Skytrac has a difficult time measuring spin. Ball speed and launch angle are the easy parameters to measure. In order to get better spin measurements you might try putting a line on the balls or using balls with an alignment mark already on the ball such as a Prov1 and placing the ball with the line facing the cameras.

The essential difference between a Skyrac and a GC2 is the Skytrac takes two pictures while the GC2 takes between 7 and 12 depending on the ball speed. The other significant difference is a GC2 allows a much larger area to place the ball when hitting. All that of course comes at increased purchase cost. For the money a Skytrac is decent as is a Honda Civic compared to a Z06 Corvette.

    Quick look at the driver.

If I read it right 166 vrs -609, or 340 vrs -513 side spin means one is showing a slice while the other shows a draw. Or 0 vrs -1045 means one is showing a straight shot and the other a hook. Seems to be about half like that.

Driver backspin seems way off. Often 100% error and sometimes 200 or 300%.

Are you sure they aren't interfering with each other?

Ball speed looks bang on though.

Did you try any wedges? Seem to recall other tests showing wedges to be the weakest. Especially left/right.

    Skytrak vs GC2 test

I have used and enjoyed my Skytrak for a couple of months but had an opportunity to grab a used gc2 for a great price. I took the opportunity of having both to hit some shots with the units side by side with the gc2 in lefty mode. Below are the results. Pretty darn good for the Skytrak if you ask me. The ball speeds and launch angles are spot on. The push/pull was probably just an alignment issue b/c the differences are pretty consistent. Verses the gc2 the Skytrak's back and sidespin was generally higher on the driver but very close on the 7i. The carry distances for the driver were a touch lower on Skytrak vs gc2 but that could just be the flight algorithms. All told my takeaway is that Skytrak is great value for the money.
