  • Crazy Skytrak Shot

    Hi All

One of my kids managed to pull off this physics defying shot today, is it a sign of problems to come with the simulator?

    Anyone else had this problem?

Looks like they opened up a wormhole. We're all doomed.

I just had a similar crazy shot. It was suppose to be a 65 yard pitch, but....

I've seen this before with Jim Furyk on Protracer.

Does anyone see these kinds of shots in TGC (or JNPG, E6 or WGT)? If not then it's simply a software bug in the SkyTrak app - if this is the case, SkyTrak should just look into fixing this bug or give away 1 year free GIP for anyone who can reproduce these shots as they are indeed pretty cool-looking shots...

Just to help investigating this...have any of you guys changed units of measurement or any environmental settings? Can't figure out how this is even possible.

Maybe the ball is still deformed and changing shape as it passes through the window...my crazy shot was a skulled 60 degree wedge

No Settings changed, however it was my kids playing so it could of been a very badly hit shot

Unfortunately I was not using a super bouncy ball. I was trying to get it to register very small chips.

Four different people in this thread have had this. Bug in the app, i'm guessing.

i'd be looking for typical issues with use of floats/doubles: rounding, loss of precision, division by zero. Something like that. That's probably not much help though, as I'd expect quite a lot of that in this code. Wait a second.... this could be a new game-play mode! Get the kids playing more. Create a goofy-golf course.

Hey guys, found the issue. We'll include the fix in v2.5.3. It's a VERY hard shot to hit actually, and unfortunately I got quite good at it. Thanks for finding it.
