  • Winter League amongst friends

    Hey guys,

After finding out this summer that I have a SkyTrak and am able to play golf through any weather, my golf group want to have a golf league/winter league using my SkyTrak. I have both TGC and JNPG, and I'm wondering if anyone has ideas on how to set something like this up. It is my understanding that you can only have 1 registered user on the Tour, so that isn't an option and I also have about 8-12 guys that are interested in being part of the league. If you were going to set up a league preferably 1 night every 2 weeks, how would you do it? 9 holes? TGC or JNPG? Closest to pin games? The boys are itching to get things going, but I really am not sure how to make it work with that many guys and only 1 Skytrak and hitting area. Any thoughts/help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm pumped to get mine going also. Last winter I did one with 4 guys, but I had an Optishot. I have recently upgraded big time with a Skytrak and TGC. I plan on 9 holes (for a foursome) because 18 will take too long. I have no idea whether TGC can track everything from week-to-week, last year I just kept track of scores on a whiteboard in my garage... so if TGC can do it, can someone chime in with what we need to do? (set up a tournament or tour?)

I too also have about 10 guys interested and was trying to figure out a fourmat. I was considering doing two man best ball points system so five teams of two. Figured using handicap and do skins for points and lowest total team net for points and a tied hole would go back to the previous hole until one team has a lower score and they would win the skins/points.

Good idea. I also am planing a league of some kind over the Winter months. Im thinking between 8-10 course, pairs stableford. Was thinking of 9 holes just to keep the pace of play fairly short. Cant seem to figure out how to just do 9 holes though. If i pick a course to play it only seems to give an 18 hole option, any ideas on how to just do 9?
