Help needed: buying and installing a Skytrak system in Spain

    Hello everyone,

I was trying to get some valuable information about the various golf simulators which exist out there, and then I discovered this forum which is clearly, in my opinion, a diamond mine..

I am French but I leave in Mallorca, a fantastic Spanish island in the Mediteranean sea (which is also known as somekind of paradise for golfers as there are 24 golf clubs despite its tiny size).
My HCP is now 25, but I badly want to improve my game, and I think a simulator might be helpful.

After having red a lot of reviews, articles, discussions on this forum, it sounds to me like the Skytrak might be the best choice for me.

But unfortunately, there are no resellers for Spain, so I guess I would have to order it online. More importantly, as I haven't been able to encounter any simulator reseller here, I really have no clue of what hardware I should by for my system (mat, screen, etc...).
So here are the main questions I have:

1- As I leave in Spain, is it absolutely necessary to place my order through eushop.skygolf.com, or can I use another merchant?
2- Would you recommend the protective case?
3- I am looking for a very good mat. Which one would you recommend (which I could order online from Spain, of course)?
4- Same question about the screen, and the net / protection to be put on the sides.
5- I am used to good image quality (I have a nice home theatre home), so what projector would you recommend with a good price to quality ratio?
6- Is there any other hardware I haven't think about that I should definitely purchase?

Many thanks in advance to all the kind ones which will give me some hints.

    Cheers from Palma de Mallorca!

I live in Bergen, Norway. I've bought SkyTrak from their EU website. No problem at all. Extremely good customer service. They are building a network of resellers around Europe, but it takes time. The advantage of having a local/national store/seller to relate to will be obvious if you have problems with the device. I have no problem recommending using their webstore though.

Yes - get the protective case. I don't need it based on my own skill, but I want others to use it too. There are drawings here on the forum that explains how to make your own with lexan, but the original box with leveling screws is a good product.

Can't say much about your other questions. When it comes to mats, check local golf clubs and who they buy their range mats from. Maybe they've even got something you can buy. The SKLZ QUICKSTER net should be possible to get in Spain. It's called Quickplay here in Norway.

Nice golf courses on Mallorca. Must be a good place to live

The original box does not protect the lens area which is why the DIY version was designed.
