I'm still trying to figure out where to put a net and turf at home but really wanted more access to my shot information from a spin/distance standpoint. Right now I have the choice of my local driving range 5 mins away (that uses limited flight balls that seem to only taper on the longer clubs like driver/fw) or pga superstore which is 30-35 mins away and not always available. I was thinking of getting the skytrak to use at my local range so that I can get some distance and spin information while I practiced but not sure how the skytrak registers in an outdoor setting, with range balls, and possibly needing calibrate it everytime you go to the range...does anyone have experience with this?

I used to use mine exclusively at my local range and the only problem was the crap quality of balls and their low spin rates which meant I was getting much longer distances on the skytrak. I've now got my own range mat and net in my garden and using 'proper' balls then I've had no problems at all. I use it outdoors all the time and haven't noticed any issues.
