  • Projector Image Smaller on iPad versus Laptop?

Just wondering if anyone has some insight on this issue....

I use a projector, and when I use my desktop as the source the image fills my entire projector screen. Although when I try to use my iPad mini as the source the image is centered and only fills perhaps 2/3rds of the screen (at most).

The following resolutions are used for each:

    iPad Resolution - 1920x1080p 60Hz
    Computer - 1366 x 768 59Hz

I'd like to switch to using my iPad but hate to sacrifice the screen size.

    Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

    Thanks

The iPad graphics output (via the HDMI and USB converter) is not 1080p, and it's also a kinda crappy resolution. I was very disappointed and, as soon as it could run on a PC, went out and bought a badass ASUS with the nvidea gtx 970 card and 16 gigs of ram.

Thanks for confirming it's not just my setup. I guess this is motivation to upgrade my laptop to a badass PC and forget about the ipad route.

Just an update if anyone has similar issues...

I just purchased the lighting to VGA (versus HDMI) and I'm now gettting full screen. So for some reason the HDMI adapter doesn't work the same.
