Help - WiFi LED flashing orange

I hit a ball into my skytrak last night after a few beers and now I can't get it to work! Bloody typical this should happen now when the full metal jacket is due to arrive in the next couple of days!...

The Power LED is green, the WiFi LED is flashing orange and the Ready LED is solid red.... any ideas how I can fix it?

I have tried resetting the skytrak but nothing happens (ie. after holding down the reset button with a paperclip for 10 seconds the lights stay the same and do not all turn to amber like they should do)

Try using USB for a moment to see if the hardware has been damaged. If it works with USB then go reboot your your router then go through the entire wireless setup process again and see if it come back to life.

Thanks for the quick reply but unfortunately I'm trying with a USB cable now and the SkyTrak software is not detecting the SkyTrak at all.... it just says "Looking for Connection"

In the app go through the setup process with it as a direct connection. If that doesn't work I would try resetting one more time.

It isn't appearing in my laptops wi-fi list so can't connect in direct mode either.... I've tried resetting loads of times but not doing anything.... very worried now!

The only thing i can think to try now is leave it on and let it run out of battery’s … can’t see it doing any good but I’m out of ideas!

Sounds like one of the components has broken inside the machine. The same thing happens to mine(wouldn't factory reset or connect via USB or wifi)but I didn't hit it with a ball. Contact skytrak customer support as it will need to be repaired or replaced.

One person had a similar "accident" with his and just shook the unit in the opposite direction as the impact a few times and it came back to life. Might want to try that, you have nothing to lose at this point.

I did this and now the middle WiFi LED has turned solid orange or red (I think this is supposed be be red but looks orangey to me - it's certainly not yellow). I still can't reset it or anything so unfortunately I'm still in the same position... any other ideas?

It sounds to me like the Wi-Fi module got damaged. However, if it turns solid yellow/orange/amber (whatever you want to call it), then that means it is successfully connected to your router. Did you open the app with the iPad connected to your network? If it turned red, then that means it is in direct mode and should see it and be able to connect to it in your list of available networks. If there are still issues after those two suggestions...might need to send it in for repair.
