Skytrak - Can you play local Multiplayer with right and left handed players?

Looking into purchasing a Skytrak and wondering if you are able to play a local multiplayer round with right and left handed players?

Yes - but Not easily. I wouldn't do it. You would have to pick the unit up and move it to the other side of the mat for a different handed player. You would need to make sure it was level and square every time you did this or your ball flight would be off. Foursomes with my friends are in the 4 hour range of play time - so moving that thing back and forth would not only be a pain, but time consuming as well.

How long is a typical round when playing in a tournament?

You can also set the unit to lefty for both players and have the right-handed player stand with the skytrack between themselves and the ball...works fine and is not that difficult to get used to. i have a couple of lefty friends and I play with them that way.

Just curious have you noticed better or worse or no difference when hitting right handed from the left handed Skytrak set up??

Never thought about that, but it wouldn't help me because I don't have enough width in my sim area for a mat wide enough to do something like that.

It's definitely "different", but if you are used to hitting inside, in your sim area, it's not that much harder. I don't really have objective data as to better/worse.

If you have enough area you can simply get two hitting mats and put the SkyTrak on a swivel in the middle of the two mats.

What about setting up a net and hitting backwards (assuming you have the room)? I am assuming that the skytrak is similar to the GC2 where the detection area is on the opposite side for lefties?

Solution found to RH and LH play on the skytrak launch monitor

Hi everyone here is an answer to anyone who ownes a skytrak launch monitor. No more bending down to turn the skytrak everytime a RH player or a LH player has to shot it's abit of a pain and Iam sure you would all agree. I've recently purchased a 10" rotating flat plate with ball bearing for a very smooth 360 degree rotation from shopping at Amazon I paid under $30 . The plate is roughly ,625 of an inch, so in order to get it to sit perfectly level to my hitting surface I made a circular cutout in my trustrike mat and dropped the plate inside and leveled the plate. I then placed velcro on the bottom of my skytrak and on my plate and made sure I centered it. Now Iam able to spin the skytrak with my club with ease cause of the ball bearings it's very smooth and no more bending down. I've been playing with my friends and kids who all shoot either right or left and it works amazing you can switch it from RH to LH with total ease with out once bending down and once it's leveled even if you spin it around it still stays leveled. I will be posting a video later on today when I go to my office.

Great idea, you should put some sort of stopper or something on each side of you haven't already so it turns only a perfect 180 degrees as don't have to worry if it's lined up perfectly each time you spin it. Nice work

I put a marking on the disk and a marking on the mat to line it up perfectly, the most important thing is to make sure it's level on both side once you do that it works get I've been playing round with right and left handed and it works great very smooth and never had any mis shots and more important never have to bend down and re face it in the other direction and always releveling it. That was the biggest pain.i will later on today be posting a video once I get to my office.
