TrackMan - Next Version?

I did a bit searching, and found the Release history of TrackMan has been:

TrackMan 2: 2006
TrackMan 3: 2011
TrackMan 4: 2015

With this, can we say that TrackMan 5 is probably around the corner? Does anyone has information on this? When TM 4 was released, what did TrackMan charge for a straight upgrade from TM3? Thanks.

I am in the market for a TM4, and this is why this information is important for me. It would not be fun to buy a TM4 today but in a few months find the the new version is released and TM4 suffers an immediate steep depreciation.

TM5 will be fun, hopefully integrating dual cameras along with dual radar for enhanced tracking such as short putts for sims and indoor reading.

I’ve been wondering about this too. I asked a TM rep about it and he said nothing was coming out anytime soon, but I hope he’s wrong.

Hope you've been well Cris! As per above, it just looked like new Trackmans were released every 4-5 years and TM4 was released in 2015. So I thought it would be around in the next PGA show that they could release the next version but who knows. Currently the only thing I can think of for TM5 is to have a dual camera for shorter chip/putt tracking...

If I were to judge by the sheer amount of units available in the 2nd hand market - EBay and Facebook groups being my source - it seems like a new device is coming out soon. Someone also told me he picked up a new unit at a 12% discount from TM. Anyone hear anything?

Nothing for in the near future from what I am hearing apart from maybe a lower priced unit. These are just rumblings I have heard and nothing solid has been reported.

Trackman would be very smart to develop a cheaper unit like their competitors.

Yes a TM3e type unit that works with VG2 and maybe they could do a putting unit like Golfzon is looking to do.
