I was wondering who is using e6 on their trackman I just received the demo and I have to say I really like this software it has a lot of flexibility and it grows on you I find it lightning fast and tons of options .... I’m just curious on the accuracy as in tps 7.3 I find it’s really easy to not be in the fairway and on e6 it seems easier is that just my imagination or are the ball flights calculated differently ?

Is there any trackman owners using e6 I’m having a terrible time with the chipping just off the green where the trackman is just not seeing these shots ... I’ve had some instances where I’ve chipped 10-12 times from 30 ft or so and it’s not reading ? Anyone ? -
What is your distance TM to the ball? I could suggest two things to try:
1. If you hit right handed, move the ball position to the left edge of the area that TM can read a shot (depending on distance to TM, this could be six inches to a foot).
2. Try hitting a ball with no sticker for those shorter ones. In my set up, I have yellow and white balls. The white ones have the metallic sticker and my yellows don’t. The yellows are for very short chips (for me 10 yards and under) and for putting.
Also, e6 uses all data from TM to determine ball flight. E6 algorithms don’t kick in until the ball interacts with something in the e6 environment (a tree or something).Comment

so I assume you are using e6 ? My trackman to the ball is 8ft my ball to screen is 10 ft

Here is the screen shot of what happens to ball flight.... when I choose fast rather than indoor on e6 under simulator ... ball hits a bump mid flight .... e6 support said because the ball takes off then as the data kicks in it does this ....Comment

I only ru. The e6 Connect Demo. I ran e6 and e6 1.6 for years. I am not too tempted to go the e6 route as I was promised years ago e6 2.0 for free upgrade when I bought e6 and then all they came out with was 1.6. It was a huge disappointment from what they were promising.
I can’t believe that ball flight, but at least there is no pause from once you hit.
on the 8 feet to the ball, you could put the ball about 8 inches at least left of centre and try that and see if it improves anything. I rarely get any no reads no a days, but my chips are about 9 feet TM to ball.Comment

So I have 18.5 feet to work with so trackman to ball 9 ft and ball to screen 9.5 ?
what combination do you think will work better ?
Do you think virtual golf offset in e6 would make any difference? I had it offset 1 ft left .....Comment

Well I’m just beside myself ....
lve tried everything on e6 connect ... drives off the tee and and fairways not a problem irons from 200 to 30yds not a problem ...
my issue is the chipping just off the green usually 40 ft in the shot just won’t register I’ve setup trackman in tps so the hitting zone is right in the middle of the blue box but I still get .. these no reads ... I’m baffled
no problem in tps so I know it’s not the trackman ... e6 support says they have never heard of this ?Comment

This issue is driving me crazy .... I have never seen missed chips on tps... but from my 1st round on e6 this has occurred I even reached out to trackman support and they said if it’s not missing chips in tps then they can’t help me ... I’ve told e6 support about this probably 6 times and they keep telling me they have never seen this ... I don’t believe them ... I’ve even sent a video of missed shot after shot and they didn’t even acknowledge???Comment

Bouxy i just went in the demo Aviara. Sorry for not getting to this sooner, but I am actually in the middle of rebuilding my sim room a little and while I am far enough along now to hit balls I needed to move things out of the way and get set-up (so still a rough set up). However I was able to chip around the green with no issues and absolutely no shots missed (all recorded - everything from 15 feet to 62 feet around the green).
my current measurements and some notes are:
1. TM to impact was 8.5 to 9 feet. Note I hit from centre of my hitting zone to about 3 or 4 inches of centre and all recorded.
2. Impact to screen was 10.5 to 11 feet.
3. All shots were hit with a marked ball.
4. I tried hitting from 10 feet to screen ( which is tough in my set up due my mat) and also went down to 9 feet tee to screen and so shots down to 15 feet register. On each of these shots my distance to TM increased correspondingly.
5. all testing done with 56 degree wedge.
Hope this helps, but let me know if you want me to try something different.

if you’re talking about 1.4.5.0 yes I have that installed ... and I also had these same problems with 1.4.2.0
Yesterday I played without incident no missed shorts out of maybe 5 rounds ... then today hit into a bunker and it started doing the same thing wouldn’t register a shot .... so I changed to putter gave it a good whack and the ball moved about 2 feet weird ... then I put it back on sw and same problem ...
I was thinking ,,, could it be my lighting? I am using the light suggested by trackman ... but then why doesn’t tps miss any shot chips ???Comment

Agree, if TPS has no issue then it must be something in e6. It can’t be lighting for a chip as that should all be handled with the radar.Comment
