Hi
I stumbled across this site yesterday and looks great.
Hoping someone can provide some assistance please 🤞🏻
I recently installed a golf simulator setup, with Trackman 4 launch monitor and their software (TPS and Virtual Golf 2).
My main question is can anyone tell me what I need to do to ensure I’m getting the best possible graphics displayed on my impact screen?
I know v little about all the technical gaming PC stuff, so I’m probably only reeling off basics here but the PC is running Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 (not 3060 Ti). If I go into a GeForce Experience software homepage it also says ‘My Rig’ and then the following
driver version 466.47
Intel Core i7-9700F CPU @ 3.00GHz
15.93 GB RAM
1920 x 1080, 59Hz
I have this hooked up to a desktop screen which I use to navigate around the computer and launch the software, via a HDMI cable (2.1?).
I also have a Panasonic PT-VZ580 WUXGA projector connected via DisplayPort with an adaptor that then has a 4K HDMI cable running to the projector. This cable did run into a HDMI splitter feeding the projector and a wall mounted TV but I have temporarily connected it directly instead of splitting it (so no signal to TV for now).
My impact screen is HD(high definition?), a good one I believe. The maximum potential viewing dimensions are 2.1m height x 4.1m wide. It is slightly larger than this but I have a pelmet that covers around 10cm on both sides and across the top so the measurements are for the white screen that’s visible. It the. runs out on to the floor by 10cm so I’ve measured to the floor only and not the extra that’s curved back toward me.
Hitting area is fixed at 2.5m from the screen, and projector (front lens) is installed around 3.6-3.7m from the screen.
there are soooo many options for display on the pc both within windows, and within Nvidia software itself and I have no clue what to do. I’ve tinkered and can see the very wrong but not sure if I’m using the very right. And then there’s the projector menu itself on screen which tbf looks pretty basic but again I really have no idea.
I saw within Nvidia that the desktop screen and projector are cloned. Though whether I’ve done this tinkering or not I’m not sure. Both display things that I can see and look right versus some resolutions not displaying software icons or applications when running.
So... how do I know if I’m running best quality graphics?
is there a best setting that anyone can reel off? Or tell me how to select it please?
cabling is okay?
what’s the projector like out of anything that may be available?
If there’s a better option for anything I’d be interested to know what it is please to get an ultimate setup.
hoping someone can steer me.
many thanks
