  • Any discounts on Trackman?

Looking at a Trackman 4 setup for a full custom SIM setup. Got quoted $64k which seems high compared to competitors. Any idea what's a reasonable discount to ask for off this price?

Have not ever heard of discounts. Maybe see if they can throw in a year of software license (above the one year you get).

up hear, I have heard that some installers are not doing installs that are less than $50k Canadian. That’s for a $10k launch monitor and so the pricing seems about the same or within about US$5k (especially if your quote was for an indoor/outdoor unit).

This is where you have to ask yourself if going do it yourself might be the better option. You could hire someone to do the projector etc.

As a side note, I recall TM used to have a fixed dimension sim alternative that was about US$10k cheaper than the custom alternative. Might be worth exploring this with them as well and seeing if your room dimensions might fit. Alternatively, Have you looked at the sim in the box options from Foresight?

An indoor TM4 is around 19k USD, or 24.1k in Canuck bucks. Did I miss something? Where are you getting 10k from?

Edit: sounded more hostile than I intended, sorry. Only meant that I'd like to keep a 10k option on the radar (no pun intended) for later, assuming it wasn't a typo.

None taken. $10k launch monitor that I am referring to is not a TM, but another LM. Just using a competitors custom install pricing as an example and noting that the unit they were speaking to me on was US$10k.

In case you were asking on thE $10k cheaper alternative, I am referring to the difference in cost between the custom riding that TM has and a cheaper one size only option that they also used to offer and which o am not sure they still offer.

Thanks for clarifying. I assumed you were talking about a competing product but you know what they say about assumptions.

TM 21k, Turf installed $4.5k, gaming computer $1500 (go to local geek not Dell), Screen $500-$1500, projector, curtains, etc. A little leg work bit way less than 60k

Agree way cheaper going there so it yourself route. Also, I think pricing above was discussing Cdn pricing and the op was looking at an indoor outdoor model (but can’t recall). Indoor out here would be a little over cdn$33k.

I personally got no discounts but with the quality of what I ended up with a turnkey setup, I am not disappointed. You can PM me and I can share a bit more.
