  • IDC/Basler/Daheng/Flir Blackfly vs iPhone 11 Pro for swing recording

    Hello

I currently use for my indoor setup my every day phone (iPhone 11 pro) and a sim dedicated iPhone 6s.
I would like to go for a fixed setup where I don’t need to switch on the iPhones, launch the app…
I ve narrowed down my choice to 4 USB3 cameras using the same Sony chipset. The only one I m sure it can work with TPS is the IDS :
    Basler acA1440-220uc
    Daheng MER2-160-227U3M
    Flir Blackfly S USB3 - Model: BFS-U3-16S2C-CS
    IDS U3-3040CP-C-HQ Rev.2.2

The 3 first cameras are slightly cheaper than IDS but with shorter availability.

Nevertheless, many people on the TM Facebook page say that I should stick with iPhones and leave them switched on all time.
I would like to know if any of you have experienced both setup (industrial camera vs iPhones) and what would you recommend.

    Thanks
    pat

I got a first answer from Daheng - camera is not compatible.
and other answer from TM :
We have specific config and settings files in place in TPS for UEye, iOS, and a couple other cameras that we have used in the past, but Daheng is not included in that list. Even if it has the same chipset as the IDS cameras, the Daheng cameras are untested, and therefore unsupported.

That being stated, I guess it would be the same for the cameras you listed. That even though its the same chipset, we haven't tested and therefore they are unsupported.
