Hey everyone I noticed the thread “TM4 for sale” by Rangegolfer has been closed after posting noting it was sale. Note sure if the moderator can move this post to that sale posting or not, but did want to report that the Rangegolfer was excellent to deal with and the unit came exactly as described. I could not have hoped for a smoother transaction (well the banks could have been better with the cash transfer). Great communication and how the radar was packaged for shipping was above and beyond what I was expecting.

Look forward to posting on my experiences with TM4, but as of last nights testing with the TM app everything looks great! As noted an indoor TM3e will be going up for sale at some point, but for now I am just playing around with both a little.

    Thank you Rangegolfer!

I have some difficulties to go through. Firstly, my country is a mess and golf practically doesn't exist. We are talking about 25 k golfers in Brazil against 35 million golfers in USA. Secondly, there is no golf simulation here. In fact, in São Paulo has a facility (a golf bar) with 3 full swing simulators and that's it. Third point: I'm not golf professional. I'm doctor (Otolaryngologist - ENT). So, for me golf is just a hobby, not my profession. However, I don't like to do anything as you Americans say "half-ass". Because of that, I'm here. To learn with you all.
I didn't understand your question about less than 6' putter and I just talked with a friend from Foresight about you asked me and he said:
"Ricardo I am not sure what he is talking about with putting. We have looked at integrating with other software companies but when they make a change it could cause an issue with the GCQuad so we don’t allow it at this time. Hopefully someday Ricardo"

Leo Mode, I think we have much to talk about, so I will keep this talking with you in private.

That makes sense and I understand why you ended up with both. For me I started with Trackman then realized I wanted to do better simulation experience indoor so I stumbled upon Foresight products. For indoor game purposes, nothing comes close to GC2 at the moment. GC Quad could be better only if it supports multiple software and allows Bluetooth connection like GC2 (hopefully in the future).

Current Trackman cannot track putt oftentimes if it's less than 6' or less than 4mph ball speed. Also it struggles with longer clubs' accurate ball flight.

Can you elaborate more on putts tracking inaccurately less than 6' for GC Quad? It should be FSX obviously. But I can tell you it's better than not tracking the putt at all like Trackman.

And how about you, Leo Mode? I've seen in your profile you have Trackman 4, GC2 + HMT and GCQuad as well. Why?

It's a long story. In resume, in Brazil we have 25 thousand golfers and no golf simulation. In America, you have 35 million golfers and golf simulation is very developed. When I lived in San Diego I came back to play golf and I knew Foresight. First I bought GC2. After I while, I started thinking it could be a good ideia to bring this business to Brazil and to develop golf simulation in my country. So, I started studing this subject and last week I discovered this forum and finally I started learnig something good. Here in this forum in a week I've learned more than I learned in a year.
I've used FSX 2018 and because of this forum I discovered TGC. This week I bougt TGC however I haven't played yet.

Why do you have both GC2 and GC Quad? Also which simulator software are you using?

Hi. I'm new in this forum. I'm from Brazil and I have a GC2 and a GCQuad. I've seen the references simulators are TM and GCs. I brought GC2 and GCQuad from San Diego a year ago and since then I started playing in my GCQuad and I notice the putts smaller than 6', there is some difficult to take a correct information. So, I can say putts bigger than 6' GCQuad is ok. How is it nowadays about Trackman?
    Thanks

Yes the additional light was for the person hitting the ball (confirmed by the Cdn TM repnin the video). He then says it is using all of the hardware the exists now in TM4 and also seems to say it is amazing what the unit will see.

I am definatley like like what they are doing.

That light is just for the show guests to see the impact. I got a confirmation that it will be exactly the same as before. Nothing more needed. It will all be calculation I am strongly assuming

Just saw the video from the show (Par2Pro posted on YouTube). Looks like just a little extra light is needed in the impact zone. Pretty cool stuff!

It’s totally optional but you lose some current features and possible future features.

It is false. I tested the two most popular unit on the market and saw that TM4 was more accurate both indoor and outdoor.

I also noticed that yellow ball reads better on putts. Whereas white balls i had some nonreads

Point280 i got a confirmation from trackman that they don’t require additional unit. Thus this will be all calculation.

From what I am seeing there is no other device in the pictures and videos they are providing. Hopefully they are showing this at the golf show.
