It looks like TruGolf's rollout of an indoor swing trainer has finally been released! The Home Swing Studio appears to be a clever combination of a limited iOS license for E6 Connect and a well-designed indoor swing trainer. The "Mini Simulator" attaches to the butt of the indoor trainer just like the PhiGolf.

Overall, the Home Swing Studio appears to be a more refined version of PhiGolf. The graphics of E6 connect, for example, are much better than both the PhiGolf's N64-ers offering, and the suboptimal "freemium" feel of WGT.

Reviewed the product and 2 negative points. 1. 5 golf courses or a $9.95 a month for 90 courses. 2. Only does a mini swing club doesn't work with real clubs and golf balls.

According to the sales staff I spoke with, TruGolf is planning a software update that would allow for use with real ball/clubs. Whether this actually happens remains to be seen, but I'd love to have the option if they can get it to work somewhat reliably.

It looks like the Home Swing Studio is a cheap way to get into the TruGolf universe, though the upgrade path is prohibitively steep. TruGolf told me that the HSS will be integrated for folks who purchase a full PC launch monitor license ($2500) and the HSS will be an available option as an input device.
