  • E6 Handicap questions.....no way in this world am I a 1.6!!

Hello. I've had a skytrak for 18 months, love it (even with some of the "no shot" problems). Definitely helped me keep my sanity during the pandemic. I recently started to use the E6 subscription that I've paid for and not used and I absolutely love it. Haven't played any tournies yet, but play at least one round a night....4 last night

Real life handicap is 13. Its dropping quickly, best real life scores are 3 10's in my last 10 rounds, with a mix of 13-20's.

However, my handicap according to E6 is 1.6. I can't do putting on there, so i do auto putt.

    Here's my last 10 rounds.

Wolf Peak - Par 3 Mountain Course - +16 (3 in the water)
    Panther Lake - +12
    Innisbrook - +15
Pinehurst - +18 (2 in the water and played with high winds)
Par 3 Ocean Course - +6 and +13 (+6 on one hole, i got stuck behind a tree and put 3 into the water)
Golf Resort Kuneticka Hora - +11
    Mauna Lani - +9
    Club at Hokuli'a - +15
    Pelican Hill - +5 (back 9 only)
    Troon North - Monument Course - +16

To be fair on myself, I can't use my driver or woods as I've already smashed my garage door opener and broke a driver. So its 4Iron and up only.

These are my settings for every round.

    Players: 1
    Tee Level: Blue
    Pin Position: 11
    AutoCaddie: Yes
    Round Handicap: 3.1
    Putting Mode: Computer Decides
    Mulligan Setting: 0
    Elevation: 0 ft
    Stimp Rating: 8
    Green Hardness: Moderate
    Wind: Breezy

    Handicap
    1.6
    Total Activities
    125

I don't get how I'm down at a handicap of 1.6. Its what I'm aiming for, I have a coach, ball striking has improved significantly and I'm putting in the work but i don't understand how the system works. I can't find anything that is helping me understand the how, especially since my lowest score is +6.

Thanks, any help understanding this would be awesome.

    I don't understand it either. I'm a 3 handicap in real life and a +9 in E6.

I've never shot 9 under par on e6. A few rounds -3 or -4 but most are +1 or +2, rarely shoot more than 6 or 7 over. I'd certainly say sim golf is 3 or 4 shots "easier" than real golf but have no clue how they arrive at their calculations

The slope/rating on most of these courses are significantly higher than any of us would normally play in real life. Especially from the blue tees. My suggestion is to calculate your 5 lowest differentials on your own and you'll have your answer if its right or not.

Assuming its wrong, you can check your unfinished rounds. If you played 6 holes for a score of 24 it might be using it as an actual score? (I'm guessing, dont know for sure)

Its quite amusing. I'm now a +9 handicap according to E6. I have to believe its counting the Par 52 (par 3) courses as Par 72 as thats all I played for a week. Consistently got +6 to +10 and my handicap tumbled.
