With a large part of the course hard against the Milwaukee River and a few openings subject to flooding (the green of the twelfth and the whole thirteenth are situated across the stream), one could think Milwaukee Country Club is a flat course.

However, a significant number of its openings are shockingly uneven.

Its exemplary plan is still tree-lined.
