Par2Pro HQ Screen Foldability

Hi there, I have started to design a simulator setup for my garage and have realised that there is no way I can leave the screen in place all the time. I am wondering how well the screen deals with being folded or rolled up. Would the screen crease really badly or when stretched taut-ish would they not be noticeable ? Any input you can give me would be great. Thanks.

The HQ screen tends to maintain its creases and fold lines. Mine has not really become smooth even though being kept flat and stretched. The creases though are not really that big an issue when an image is projected onto the screen. They are noticeable only when there is no image being projected.

I use my HQ screen like you would a shower curtain, and slide it over when not in use. This action does not create wrinkles. Even the overhead net is attached with the screen and both slide to one side.

The rod they slide on stays in place now but originally I had made it so that rod was attached to the wall with a hinge and the entire rod could have been folded back to the side wall. I just found I don't need to do this for my setup now.

Sfr; if you could post a pic id be curious. I have mine storable on the ceiling. I recently have been trying to engineer an automatic way to raise it and lower it. I'll post pics and a vid. It's not there yet. Need to tweak it.

Sportscreen makes a product that rolls up a screen. I'm sure they'll sell you the hardware to attach your screen to.

Here is the basic setup with zip ties used to slide the screen over the conduit pipe. I have 3 layers of screen so the older 2 are in behind and work as an impact cushion.

The net has a fiberglass rod attached to keep it tight on what is the bottom in the 2nd photo. That is what hooks into the ceiling with a couple of bent nails.

The screen also has a fiberglass rod in the bottom which is set into grommets on the corners. The rod bows a bit to keep the base tight and add a bit of weight to keep the bottom of the net down. There is about a foot of screen that rests on the floor so I never get balls going under the screen.
