  • Which system would you get.

I am trying to get a system for TGC, but not trying to get the best system out there.
Two systems came across and they are the same price at $600.
I like sky tech one better since it has better graphic card, but CPU is less powerful.

Both system has less than 500W PSU. Do I have to have more than 600w?

    Thanks.

I can speak for graphics card, it is most important. I have a computer that isnt the greatest. I thought more ram would help, it didnt. bought new graphics card, all the difference in the world.

I was looking at the same Powerspec G151 computer from Microcenter. It's a good price. Some of the posts that I received back today seemed to think that it would handle TGC and JNPG. Hope to hear some more feedback.

I am leaning toward skytech system. It has much better graphic card.

I just don't know for sure since the Skytech is using a GTX 1060, but it is a 3GB setup vs the GTX 1050Ti which is a 4GB setup. I would think you would want a higher memory on your GPU card. But I am not an expert by any means. Please someone comment on this! Thanks.

I am worried about PSU for both systems...

Where did you find the Skytech? New Egg? Looks like it is sold out currently from them.

Graphics card is key - You can compare using this link. This is just one possible benchmark, but should give some idea of relative performance.

higher is better. The original minimum was considered the 970 GTX, so looks like a 3Gb 1060 should be ok.

Although a 1060 will do just fine with this game, it really is just the bare minimum. Most play TGC in windowed mode while running a few other programs in the background. I personally stream netflix on my monitor while playing TGC. Even with a GTX 980ti hybrid (which is considered top of the line besides the GTX 1080), TGC will lag on some shots while streaming netflix. I also plan to add some video recording software in the future which will only strain my pc further. If you want to run TGC and nothing else, the 1060 will be just fine. But if you plan on trying to push it any further, I would recommend something with more juice.

Looking for a PC as well and now the SkyTech is not only sold out, it's $25 more expensive. I guess that sale really did end Sunday, but I was hoping it was next Sunday.
