Will this laptop work for simulator?

Going w/ GC2 or es16....so FR1, FSX and TGC for software. Looking at this laptop:

For $400 more, I could get the laptop but upgraded to a 1070, 16gb ram, and 256gb ssd.

Not an expert but did a lot of research before getting my pc. I believe that will be more than enough as I run fsx with something similar. I think the gtx 1070 is overkill if you are just using it for golf simulation as I don't think the software is detailed enough to see the value of such a high end graphics card. I have a gtx 1060 and I was surprised at the lack of detail in the fsx. The integration works really well and the experience is fantastic but don't expect PS4 tiger woods graphics even on the highest settings. I am also using a projector as well which would cause less detail. Hope that helps

Tgc looks a hell of a lot better than FSX.

I ordered a Laptop with the GTX 1050Ti card and from what I researched it seems to be enough, though I am not interested in running ultra high def. There is a another thread on the topic and a few people said they run it on high setting with the GTX 1060 and they are fine so I imagine you are good. Looking at the link that is a really nice laptop!
