Would this be good enough to use JNPG?

Hi, I'm also looking to buy a PC and software for golf sim. Was looking at TGC but now very interested in this. Just looked up JNPG on youtube and it looks great.Last edited by Captaingolf; 11-02-2017, 12:21 AM.

I would not recommend that 1050 Ti Graphics card if you want to run it max. I have the GTX 1060 6GB and the GTX 970 and those both run TGC at well over 60fps on max. I think TGC is more intensive than JNPG but I would still error on the side getting a better video card. If you have room for a PC, I'd go that route as it'll be cheaper to make a system with better specs. For $800, you could probably slip into an i7 6700K with a GTX 1060 6GB and 16GB RAM...especially with Black Friday coming up. Huge deals on stuff like this. I personally bought my GTX 970 off Craigslist for $150 and its been great so that's another option. So yeah, I'd look into that over a lower spec laptop.

I'm really not a fan of gaming laptops for golf sim either - vegetation in open areas is graphically one of the most intensive stuff any game can do - which is exactly golf so you'll always be getting far less quality for the same money with a laptop. JNPG2 will have 3d grass, E6 version 2 will arrive someday and I haven't heard if the TGC line will continue to support sim, but it too will naturally be more graphically demanding. I doubt (well hope not) JNPG2 will make the same mistake in trying to cater for computers that should really be donated to the local after school kid's club.Originally posted by golfgod123 View Posthttps://www.amazon.com/Acer-Nitro-i5...r%2Bnitro&th=1
I was just wonder if this would be able to run JNPG or if i would need to get something with a little more power. Thanks!
It's just easier to upgrade your video card every few years than buy a new laptop. I agree with cooke, 1060 minimum, 1070 best bang-for-buck IMO. If you're anything like those I play with, many who have GC2s, we all appreciate we can play sim golf so cheaply compared to the $50k previously required, and so cheaply compared to real golf. Vital items like an excellent video card are really a no-brainer. I see it as respecting a hobby we pour hundreds of hours into a month.
