Upgrade Advice - JNPG

Hi,
Just in the process of upgrading to a GC2 from Skytrak with the end goal of running JNPG. Not really interested in playing on the *** as I can only hit up to hybrid in my practice space. Mainly looking to use it for practice.
My PC Mobo/CPU are not up to the task and have chance of getting hold of the following for very little money.

MOBO: MSI P55-GD65

CPU: INTEL CORE i5-760 2.80GHz QUAD CORE

I already have memory, case, PSU, SSD and 2x HDD.

Would the above Mobo/CPU be adequate for running JNPG assuming I buy a decent GPU?

Yep. CPU is basically useless running these sim softwares. Get a 1060 or above video card

I'm not sure how much additional strain the sim software would put on the system. I went a bit overboard with the system I built so even at the highest settings everything runs very smooth for me. Not sure what SIm you have, or will be purchasing, but I think they offer a weekly pass for a few of them. That way you could at least test it out without going all in on hopes alone.

GolfSimUN ste1010 Thanks for your inputs. I decided it would be silly to put so much time and $$ into a simulator and then cheap out on the computer. I did a little more digging and I won't even have to go "bleeding edge" on the GPU (those 1080s are expensive these days!!). I'll buy or build a dedicated sim computer, and probably anything over a GTX 1050ti or 1060 will be more than adequate.... hopefully on highest settings
