  • NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2080

Anyone use this graphics card for simulator? I looked at some reviews that did comparison to the GTX 1080, and it appeared the GTX 1080 performed better but RTX is less expensive.

The RTX is I thought $799 and the GTX around $500.

My error. I was looking at pre-built HP Gaming systems on their site. Misleading as showed a computer system with this graphics card which had reasonable price. However when you go to customize it, the default card is the GTX 1070.

I have an RTX 2080. It's a little better than the GTX 980ti. and quite a bit better than the GTX1060. TGC has certain graphic issues that even the best cards on the market can't fix. When I first started with TGC, I had a GTX 680. I have tried the 970, 1060, and 980ti. Now I have a RTX 2080. TGC still has some issues, like bushes and trees suddenly appearing as the ball is flying. Or the trees going to high res just as the ball lands. These few things did annoy me. TGC 2019 doesn't seem to have such issues. I have only played it with the 2080. It runs very smooth and looks great. I don't expect any updates for TGC with TGC 2019 just around the corner. I am not sure if TGC 2019 is using a new engine but it is a lot easier on the eyes. TGC 2019 runs silky smooth on Ultra settings with the RTX 2080. The game looks great. I have noticed quite a few improvements with ball physics and sand play. I like how the ball makes it's little trail in the sand as it rolls into the bunker. I expect that the 1070 will run TGC2019 just fine.
