  • Sim PC wireless controllers/touch screen recommendations

Post controllers and touchscreen recommendations here.

This is what I use to control TGC and ProTee Golf. It works like a Wii remote and is very fast and accurate. I also have a standard wired keyboard and mouse.

Would ProTee be any good with a touchscreen monitor? I need to buy a monitor for my setup, and I can get a 23" touchscreen monitor for a very good price.
If I had a touchscreen mounted on the wall it would save me a lot of space. Having never used the ProTee software, I'm not sure how well it would work with a touchsceen?

Hopefully others will chime in. ProTee works with a touchscreen but TGC does not. Not yet anyway.

I have touch screen monitor and I find myself using keyboard most of the time (aming, changing clubs, etc). I use mouse configuring settings and loading game up. If I was buying again I'd save money on the touchscreen and put any extra $ into the video card.

          Thanks for the replies.
I've already bought all the PC components... the monitor is the last piece of that puzzle! The cost of the touchscreen monitor is just a fraction more than the non-touchscreen one I'm looking at, so the money difference isn't an issue.
I'm going to be using a GC2, so I don't think I need to worry about club selection? Is aiming just done by dragging left and right?
Are there any other controls in ProTee?

A touchscreen would be an advantage for controlling the other things in my garage (sunroom) like Sonos and my Amp.

Z, so you have no problem navigating tgc menus and such with this - especially those sub menus in settings - display - then turning things on and off?

I bought a gyro mouse a while back but found it very diffiut to get in to precise menus. Maybe it takes more time to get used to it. I gave up failry quickly.

Absolutely no problems. This is very precise and has all the keys that you need, including arrow keys. Holding down the right mouse button allows you to move the pointer around the screen. Left mouse button to click, drag, etc...

At $14, I might buy another one. If your pc is not in the sim room or it's a cabinet, I wold suggest you also get a USB extension cable.

Had a Elo touch screen for the GC2 fitting range and course. Purchased off of craigslist. It didn't work as expected. There is a lot of menu click and it didn't pick up as expected. Literally took it down this past sat and put up computer monitor that free hangs from ceiling. Also have keyboard and mouse under monitor. Just works more facile than touch screen. Can't reinvent the wheel. Lastly, u started with small remote keyboard with mouse trackball hat I thought would keep on my waist but, I can't have anything in me during my hip transition as I can feel it and it distracts me.

This is the greatest invention. For the sim it works great.
