Automatic Club Impact Recording with Kinovea

This is slightly different than recording your swing so I thought I'd start a new topic, even thought the setup should be similar. Has anybody thought of setting up an overhead camera to get a club impact video like the Uneekor system comes with? I'm assuming you would need a higher frame rate camera and some decent lighting, but based on the other thread this seems pretty feasible.

Did you end up taking this forward. This is exactly what I would like to do.

Someone on the TrackMan user group on Facebook commented that he is using an iPhone as an overhead camera. TM allows you to use up to six cameras to record swing ect. Not sure how good the iPhone would be at recording the club impact, but definitely something g worthwhile to consider.

I use the iPhone with the SwingProfile app https://www.swingprofile.com/ , it auto captures each swing, using motion and the sound at impact. It works flawlessly, but the iPhone is only capable of 240fps, so there is still some blurring. You could put the camera anywhere, I use it for one face on camera and one down the line camera, then upload the swings to the cloud and sync them together using the analysis function within the swingprofile app.
      Working...
