  • Intel vs AMD CPU

Hi, I'm looking to build my first SIM and gaming PC. I'm going with the EyeXO and TGC2019, Refine and Trugolf Multisport. I might want other sim software in the future but this is what I'm starting with. I know Uneekor doesn't work with older AMD setups, but is there any other software that is limited to Intel? The guy at MicroCenter told me that Intel used to be the best but AMD recently tookt he top spot for both speed and price and highly recommended AMD unless the software is completely optimized for Intel and won't work well with an AMD chip.

I'm planning on going all out so I can future proof it a bit. My initial plans were for an 11th gen i9, RTX3080, 32Gb RAM, 1TB SSD, intel z590 motherboard. But now I'm wondering if I should go AMD. So what are your thoughts? Should I go with Intel or would I be safe with AMD?

Stick with Intel - it will just be easier. Some have made it work with AMD but generally speaking more versions of software state that they are Intel only than don't.

on the EyeXO page it says compatible with Ryzen 3rd gen series 3600 and above. You will not have issues with that. However right now, your biggest issue is going to be actually getting your hands on certain components. Right now anything above a 650w power supply is hard to come by. Graphics Cards... Good luck... Ebay Scalpers are selling 3070's for over $1,300. You may be better off putting in an order with a PC Builder instead. Also there is a pretty large chip shortage on the AMD side right now (Intel makes their own chips so they are doing a little bit better)
