    RTX 3060 graphics card issue

    Hi,
    I am sure this is something simple and may not even be an issue, but i just bought a new gaming laptop. X64bit processor and 64 bit windows but my nvidia card only outputs using 32 bit to my projector. I think this is limiting my options for custom resolution options. I have some technical knowledge but I dont seem to be able to work out if this is what should be happening or not. I have made sure I have the latest 64 bit drivers. Is this limitation coming form the projector?

      Not sure if this helps, but are you sure you are plugged into your graphics card output and not that of the motherboard for the CPU graphics?

          Hi, Thanks for replying. Yes, I am looking at all the settings in the Nvidia control panel.

              No worries, but I was asking if you connected to the right HDMI hook up on your laptop?

              It might help if you described the steps you're taking and what is actually happening. Also, what kind of projector do you have and what is the resolution you are trying to achieve?

                  Your setup ist absolutely OK.
                  The 64bit you mention is related to the system architecture of your PC and Windows, but doesn't mean that you can have 64bit of color-depth.
                  At the present time, 32-bit of COLOR-DEPTH is the maximum that is available to all PC-systems, having over 16,7 millions of colors available.
                  So enjoy your setting, it is the highest available.
