Computer setup for Eye XO

Hi guys, been racking my brain on what to buy for sim build and one area I don't see a lot of discussion is the computer recommended to run the Eye XO. I've seen videos that piece parts together and obviously plenty of gaming PC's that "should" work but it's clearly an important aspect of the system. Can anyone suggest how I should go about picking something out? Should I buy a ready-made PC, piece parts together? I'm pretty handy DIY but not too comfortable with building a computer. I also would rather not buy something just good enough either that I may have to upgrade soon if you know what I mean. Any thoughts and recommendations would be greatly appreciated, my mind is tired from researching options for this project

It depends on many factors, example, 1080P or 4K, availability, price, and etc. If you are looking for prebuilt PCs, price is around $1000-2500. Look for machines that have 3060 and up video cards. You might also see 1060, 1660, 2060, and so on. These are slightly older cards, and the current generation of video cards are the 30xx series like 3060, 3070, 3080, 3090. You might also see something like 3060TI or 3070TI, and etc. Those are slight better compared to the normal 3060 and so on.

CPU: Intel i5 8400 or higher

You can also use laptops with those good video cards, however, if you are comparing apples to apples, PC video card is slightly faster compared to the laptop with the same specs.
Example PC with 3060 is better compared to Laptop with 3060.

I really appreciate this guidance, and reading this made me realize I’m better off getting a pre-built computer, too many details I’m ignorant about. I never even thought of the type of projector influencing the computer choice. Haven’t chosen that yet either but most likely will be 4k. If you don’t mind what should I look for specifically for the 4k projector? Are the 2 examples you provided sufficient? Thanks again for your help Gotkimchi, I really appreciate it.

Forgot to add, there are AMD video cards can work. I personally like the Nvidia cards.
