Need help with Computer Recommendation

Hey All,

I don't do any gaming and have only owned Mac Computers since 2008. What are thoughts on these computer options?
ABS Master
Dell XPS Special Edition
Hp Pavillion

I am leaning towards the ABS master, but I know nothing.

I'd assume desktops are better. For the same price you should be able to get more since you aren't paying for a screen, keyboard, battery, etc...

Any help is appreciated!

Hi - I generally agree that you get more bang for the buck with desktops. You don't mention which system (sim software) you are interested in but you should be good with with either the ABS system or the Dell. I am a Dell fan but the ABS has a (slightly) faster GPU, and bigger M2 drive so I think you are on the right track.

If you can post about which Sim software you want to run, folks can give you a better steer. For example, if you are after the new FSX Play and/or want to integrate swing cameras, I might be making a different comment but for the bulk of the software out there you are in the ball-park.

I have a GC3 so I think all I can run is the Foresight FSX software. I'll probably upgrade to FSX Play though and run that. After dropping ~12k or so into the SIM, it seems silly to baulk at $500.

I don't believe I'll run any cameras but may change my mind in the future
