  • Good Solutions to Stream Gaming PC from Office to Garage?

    Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has found a good solution to stream or mirror your main gaming PC through to a secondary laptop or ipad.

I'm trying to figure out if I can leave my Gaming PC in my office, and through Wifi, stream to my laptop in the garage that will be hooked up to my projector.

Anyone have any working solutions for this?

    Thanks!

Why not stream directly to protector at that point? It seems like going to the second device would be problematic

I've been mulling this over in my head for some time, but it's just so wonky doing it that way. Range on the launch monitor's wireless connectivity can be a problem, then you have to somehow stream HD video back to the garage, and besides doing RDM through Windows (which requires Windows Pro or better I believe, doesn't work with basic Windows Home), there's no way to easily use a mouse/keyboard from the garage to control the office computer.

If you end up wanting to record your swing, there's no good option for cameras (that I know of) to hook into a computer without USB cables, and the performance degrades as cables get longer.

There's all kinds of wireless HD systems for around $200 though, and they seemed to work well enough for me. I ultimately decided to return it and just put a decent PC in the garage.

        Good day,
Here’s an option that is working flawlessly for me. Having a Nvidia GPU is a requirement though. I built a gaming PC with a nvidia 3070 GPU and it lives in my office in the house. I then bought a Nvidia shield pro and hooked it up to the projector in the garage. Using gamestream (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/shield/...tv/gamestream/) This is all done over wifi. It looks amazing with absolutely no lag.

Very interesting. What software and LM are you using?

hoots29 - yes, I've heard that can work really well. I just picked up a Nvidia 3070 laptop myself. How much did the Nvidia Shield Pro run you, did you get it on Black Friday deal?

I used parsec for this and it worked well. I decided to pick up a second PC just for fun, but used it for a couple weeks with no issues for 60 frames 4k.
