Hi, I was trying to Upgrade my GPU to test out a theory. Things seemed to install correctly, or so I thought. The new PSU uses a single 8-pin power connector. My 2080 had an 8-pin and a 6-pin (with a separate 2-pin not used off to the side) coming from the stock power supply. I plugged the single 8-pin connector into the new card. Interestingly the 4060Ti draws significantly less power that does the 2080 (165W vs 245W) so in theory, (in theory) I should not need a PSU upgrade?
In any case, when I went to turn on the PC - the front lights came on, but the GPU did not seem to have power. The computer simply did not start. What did I miss?
