  • Steam Link...works well for streaming to a projector

My PC is in my office. My projector is in the garage, 50 feet away.

I play on Skytrak + TGC.

I have been using an IOGear GW3DHDKIT wireless HDMI setup ($180 amazon) to send the signal from my PC to the projector. It worked ok (sends video and sound), but would get some drop-outs from time to time.

Steam had their link streamer on sale for $35, so I picked one up. Works really well. Picture quality is just a tiny bit degraded over my wireless network, but you would have to be really picky to notice.

I just added TGC and Skytrak App as "non steam" games to my steam account, so I can launch them via steam. Was easy to setup and seems alot more stable than the IOGear wireless HDMI setup.

I use these and some cat5 cables. It works great. Portta PET30DP 10-Inch HDMI Extender over Cat5e or Cat6 Cables 1080p 30m https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003LZA95W..._Bmlwxb8DGNTY5

So how does this set up all fit together..... I have a garage which is probably at least 50 ft plus away. So do you have skytrak & projector in garage.... With skytrak Connected by wifi, and the projector connected via hdmi to cat5e converter back to the main building.... And computer back in main building... Directly connected to the router??

Yes that is correct. Things are controlled via a remote keyboard/mouse app. I use the "Unified Remote" android app but there are others, including this one that alot of people on this forum use: http://golfsimulatorforum.com/forum/...eyboard-screen
