Computer for FSX

Hi guys
Could anyone who has a GC2 with FSX let me know what spec their pc is, as I need to order one. I have been given the spec by foresight but they seem old in terms of what is actually available to buy. They also seem very high spec, almost overkill. Anyone out there use an i5 processor rather than i7 and how does it run.
Any info would be helpful.

I'm running FSX on the following. It runs at full detail and never shows any signs of stuttering at all.

i unfolded my setup today for a quick round this afternoon, so I'll get you some proper screen measurements for you tomorrow.

I bought most of the PC 2 years ago in the Black Friday sales from various online retailers. In the last 2 months I've upgraded the graphics card, put more RAM in, and changed to a SSD hard drive.
I worked In a PC shop many years ago building computers whilst I was at uni, and have always built my own PCs since. I generally use Macs nowadays, but building a PC is the same as it was 15 years ago. Just a case of slotting the components together!

You can easily save money on your processor by going with an i5 or even and i3. Pump that money into a GPU and RAM. At least as a gamer that is how I build my PC's.

you can save money all down the board on my set up if you are only using it for TGC. mine was built for a lot more then just the sim.

10 series with at least 6 on memory for best
980 series above average the TI is really good
970 borderline
AMD 4 series good.

Foresight have told me it needs to be nvidia, no idea why but AMD will work fine ?
