Can I turn my garage into a ProTee Golf Base Pack 2 simulator.

If it possible I would like to start the journey of making this space into a golf simulator.

I have 9' 9" of width to work with.

I have 11' 8" of room from the garage door track and the back wall.

I think if I set it up for right hand play only, the track on the left side would not come into play and the track on the right side would be missed by the swing, so I could pick up depth if needed.

I would like to use ProTee Golf Simulator Base Pack 2 and keep it to around a $10,000 budget.

    Can it be done?

    Thanks

Space is tight but could work for righties only. How high is the ceiling? If you had just a bit more width it would be nice.perhaps use the 9 feet area as your hitting to screen and the 11 feet as the width.

Might be doable. We need to know the distance from your tee location to the side walls, where you can swing a driver comfortably.

The 9' 9" would of put me up to the door.
If I swing the simulator to hit left to right in the garage I have 14' between walls.
I just went out and swung a club and it appears that I would have 8' from tee to impact screen. Does this sound about right?
        Will 8' work?
If so could I put the putting sensor beside and putt from behind and beside the tee for longer putts.
I have 9' 8" from floor to joist.
        Again Thanks!

8ft should work. Post a diagram of everything so we can make sure.

Also draw in your tee location with dimensions. And screen.

My setup is 15 x and 8 ft from the tee to screen. it will work great. just remember to hug the sensor on practice swings. you may have to spend a little more on a short throw projector but if you have to spend a little more on the projector that not always a bad thing. Oh and my set up is for right and left handed players.

If this should work any and all advise on putting setup would help.

                  Thanks

It may work the way you have it laid out. But from what I see your figuring the screen against the wall. I personally would allow at least One foot behind the screen to the wall. And it appears your figuring 6 ft from tee to wall for right handed player. thats not enough. I have 7.5 and the taller guys will brush the wall sometimes on a practice swing. i have a curtain just off the wall so they never hit the wall but they do brush the curtain. I seen one guy set it up so the screen is on the wall that the door is on. IMO that would be the best option for you. He had the screen so it could be moved easily on hinge or something. so he could still use the door if needed. Those door rails could come in handy for hanging nets on top if your planning to use real balls. wedge shots will need a net on top as they will travel up more than out.

If you can swing a driver using the tee location above without hitting the back wall and the side wall, it should be good. Noticed the putting sensor can be off-set a little(using a extension cable), which will allow a much better look for putting.

Tom is right. Got to have a short throw projector. Image needs to start high enough so you don't get a shadow when putting. And screen needs to be 1 ft from wall. Must also have a net and mattress foam behind screen.

A GC2 LM would definitely be easier to install in this setup and you wouldn't have to worry so much about the shadow of your head when putting.

                        Zmax,

I have 9' 1/2" between the garage door tracks. Could I use a 9' screen? This would give me the attached measurements.

                          Tom,

It would be great to use the door wall but the rails would be in the impact area as they are only 7' 6 1/2" from the floor, but they are 9' 1/2' apart. As I asked zmax could I use a 9' screen between them?

                          Thanks

Is there an door opener involved? if so that may be in the way for using the rails. But if not you could string a cable just under the rails. use some J hooks to anchor into top plate on walls or find a stud and anchor into them. Then get some metal shower curtain rings attach them through gromet holes in top of screen or pass cable thru the pocket if that is how the screen is made. Then just use bungee cords to stretch the top. that way you can simply slide the screen one way or the other if you need to use the door. No sure everyone will agree but I like the screen to be tight against the floor to prevent having to fetch balls from behind the screen. Long putts will go under the screen if it is not low enough to stop them. I use a long bungee cord 3/8" bungee that I bought off ebay. I got 100 ft of it for little or nothing. string that through the pocket at the bottom and stretch it along the floor. It allows the screen to give on drives and catches the putts. I stretched the bungee

yes you can. Protee will make the screen to whatever dimensions you want. whats important is whether you can swing the driver from that tee position.
