  • Net Return Side Panels

I just ordered the Net Return Pro with side panels. Does anyone know how much they deflect. (If someone happens to shank a ball, how far would the net expand.)

I have a NetReturn Pro and if a ball gets hit into the side panel it doesn't "expand" much (maybe 6"), but it does a great job of killing the momentum of the ball and catching it at the base of the net (doesn't rebound off the net at all). If you hit one in the very corner, at any height, the side panel will catch the ball and direct it around and drop it behind the back of the main net. It's an awesome setup and I love mine!!! Occasionally my kids will hit a ball that hits the aluminium support post. Not a big deal but I will likely order the foam covers to protect the poles and to dampen the sound. I'm sure that after you've had it for a while and worked on that swing, you will never hit the side panels or the poles at all. Enjoy!

Thanks for the reply.. I haven't received it yet. I would like to put it where I have a couple of windows. I may also put the screens back in the windows.

I have mine right in front of 3 windows, about 2 feet from the wall and have no issues what-so-ever. You will love it!

Rob, I used the round foam insulation tubes for the aluminum support posts. It will wrap itself around the posts and then use some duct tape to secure at the bottom and top to hold it in place. Works like a charm and dampens the impact sound and provide some protection to the posts as well. Hope that helps.
