Garage to sim room, proposed screen size

Almost ready to start converting my garage to a sim room

I've attached a few of pictures of my proposed screen position and size, leaves me space at the sides and above for netting/curtains.

Any help and/or advice gratefully received.

*The last picture is supposed to be 8'6" (8.5ft)

Am I better building a full frame for the screen, or would I get away with using angle iron on the walls and attaching the screen to them with bungees?

Can you fit a 9 x 12 screen in? This would give you a full 16:9 projection. I do not have a frame. I have my screen and netting attached directly to the joints via "bungy" cords.

        9 x 12 (I assume you mean 9 high by 12 wide - so 12 x 9) is a perfect 4:3 ratio - not 16:9.

I'd require 16' wide at 9' high for 16:9 right? I don't have that unfortunately, so I guess 4:3 would be best for the space I have available.

The measurements are just rough from what I remember. I'll measure up properly tomorrow, but I think it will be tight getting a 12' screen in at 9' high.

This is what I'm up against at the moment, years of using it as storage...

Got a friend coming over to look at the roof space and the best way to brace it and open it up.

            Has anyone else done similar?

Remeasured and think 11' x 8.25' @ 4:3 would make the best use of the space I have, other option is 12.5' x 7' @16:9

              4:3 or 16:9 what are people's thoughts?
