Collapsible hitting screen using Photo background C stands?

Has anyone build something with photography C stands? They are very heavy duty and are built to hold up heavy rolls of background drops. If one can find an adapter to offset the top roll holder forward a few inches so the ball cant hit the stand them selves. This could make a very mobile hitting screen?

I do freelance video work and actually have two of these in my rig. I've never used them for impact screening, not because of the ball potentially hitting the legs, but because the legs themselves take up so much floor area. Plus there's no guarantee of keeping them stable if you don't have sandbags on them.

That said, if you could counterweight the area behind the roll holder's original position, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
