    Carpet and plywood ceilings

So I am right right now entering the last phase of my build and have to finalize the ceiling protection design. I have seen multiple posts that have plywood ceilings covered with carpet.

Is the carpet a specific type of carpet?
Did anyone put foam in between the carpet and plywood?
Also how thick of plywood should I use?

I tried searching the forum, but had no luck finding the details I am looking for.

    Thanks,

    Nick

I used 1/2 and carpet tile. You can use any carpet you like but I suggest you crown staple it. I tried carpet glue. What a nightmare. I'd skip the foam. If you staple it'll pull in too much.
