Just finished building my simulator. Everything has come along great and everyone here in the forums have been so helpful.
Now that I am finished - it is way too LOUD. My simulator is located in my basement where about 1/3 of this level is below ground and 2/3 is above ground. Notice in the picture there is a door that is about 3 feet from the floor level. (A ramp leads up to the door). My neighbors told me they can hear me hitting balls at night - sounds like a I am hitting something with a sledge hammer or something.
Any ideas on how to quiet this setup down?
Screen is Custom made - HQ2 from Par2Pro.
Using the impact mesh also from Par2pro. I have this zip tied to the top angle iron with the screen sitting right in front.
I have heavy blackout curtains for the sides.
The ceiling is covered with a heavy black felt with more impact mesh from par2pro.
There is a loud thump every time the ball hits the screen.
Would acoustic tiles behind the screen help? Anyone have any ideas?
