Not sure if this is the best place in the forum to post..... but here goes.
I have a concrete garage with Corrugated Iron roof and roll up doors (although never roll up!)
In Hong Kong, so 35 in summer, and winter down to 5 degrees.
Looking for any ideas on how I can reduce the stifling heat, as the portable air cons are just fighting a losing battle unless I can reduce some of the original heat in the first place.
Looking for any advice, stories of similar challenges that have been overcome... or just good suggestions that could help.
Does it make much difference to paint the roof white?.... and any specific brands that make a "real" difference?
For insulation below.... can I just use styrofoam boards? Do I need to leave a gap to ceiling? Any other materials / approaches recommended???
Basically, I will throw my hand at most diy challenges but looking for a easy, cheap and effective approach where possible.
